The second type
of transient is oscillatory transient, is a sudden change which happen in the steady-state condition of a
signal’s voltage and/or current, at both sign either positively and negatively,
and it is oscillating at the pure system frequency. The power signals swell and
then shrink very fast because of transient. Oscillatory transients normally
decay to zero in a cycle (a decaying oscillation), slower than impulsive
transients. These transients are caused by the capacitive loads or inductive loads.
They can be disorderly to electronic devices and overvoltage tripping in
variable speed drives (VSD) occurred due to the slow transient and causing a

noise, which only allows the low frequency power current to flow through
unaffected. Next, transient divider is a device that presents very low
impedance path to ground, when voltage across the equipment is more than the stated
value, and then it will minimize the voltage that could be presented to the
